Biography
Patrizia Mazzoli was born in Treviso on the 16th December 1962.
The need to draw emerged at a very
young age,
she doodled all over everywhere, especially on the house walls. Patrizia started drawing comics at 6,
copying some
Mickey Mouse Comics, which led her to win some contests for youngsters. However, her family did not
understand her
inclination, not permitting her to attend Arts High School and making her undertake a different path.
She started working as a company secretary and as an interior designer, a job which permitted her to
vent her
creativity, creating innovative and alternative designs for that period. Meanwhile, she was writing poems,
neglecting
brushes and colours.
In 1985 she moved to Pieve di Cadore. She decided to orient herself to other professions; she loves
staying among
people, as a matter of fact, she specialised in training staff in the commercial environment and started
her path in human resources. Despite her passion for teaching, her overflowing creativity led her to
interchange her
job as a personal coach with marketing, creating advertising graphics and planning events.
In 2000 she had the wish to paint, however she did not have neither the courage to do that, nor ideas
to start
painting on canvas, so she decided to experiment colour-matching on some pieces of wood. This material
turned
out to be very adaptable, therefore she made the decision to start painting real works of art on furniture
such as
cupboards, chests, umbrella stands, magazine racks and clothes hangers.
In 2008 she created a showroom for a company. She made that by using big decorated panels attached to
the ceiling;
she depicted mythological and holy characters all over these panels. In addition, she frescoed the hall's
columns with Roman-styled grotesques inspired by her visit to Pompei. That had been her last work of art for
many years,
as a matter of fact Patrizia put aside her colours and brushes due to some professional changes. However
her artistic streak remained solid and after many working experiences, in 2012 she planned (designed) and
managed another
showroom for a commercial company.
In 2014 Patrizia resumed her brushes and found the courage and the desire to depict images and feelings
on canvas.
Among her favorite subjects, which reveal her passion and emotions, there are the Rose, emblem of
conflicting
feelings, portrayal of the deeper and more passionate love, symbol of jealousy, seduction and elegance.
Another Patrizia's passion is Argentine tango, which she describes as an intimate poetry in fluidity of
graceful movements.
That explains why there are lots of paintings inspired by tango.
In 2015 she decided to improve her pictorial knowledge by studying and practicing in an art lab in
Treviso.
In the last few representations, at the beginning of 2016, the recurring subject of her paintings was the
woman.
She wanted to transmit the thousands of aspects of femininity, through dance and daily actions such as a
walk by
the seashore, a change of clothes, the anxiety of waiting; and other sensual and graceful gesture of the
feminine
world.
Patrizia does not follow a fixed method, she always indulges her feelings depicting only what instils
in
her intense emotions, but she constantly tries to improve herself and to evolve her artistic sense.
My Art....
My art has been called "an emotional diary". Although never the depicted subject, the female forms represented in the canvases are an unconscious inner journey.
I love grace, kindness and elegance, in an aesthetic sense, but above all in the soul.
This is what I try to convey in my works.
